ECE 4370 - Power System Analysis

Dr. Ehsan Reihani developed new lecture materials regarding sustainable electric power for agricultural farms. The new syllabus covered operation of solar plus battery energy system and load forecasting for agricultural farms. To be specific, the new lecture components covered benefits of solar energy system for farms and provided students with optimization tools in python to find the optimal operation of battery storage system. The optimization algorithm takes advantage of AI to perform load and solar energy forecasting to deliver a more accurate operation plan. Moreover, the demand response program in California for farms and how that will reduce the power bill for farmers was also covered.
